Calendar Play support
Updated September 28, 2026. Developer: Nathan Fennel.
Your Apple TV calendar
Calendar Play displays a calendar and events created in the app. The prepared Apple TV version 1.4 build 3 saves events and preferences locally. It does not connect to Apple system calendars or Google Calendar, provide online weather forecasts, or promise iCloud synchronization.
Online choices
Version 1.4 build 3 has separate choices in Settings for optional AI suggestions, online photos, automatic event photo matching and maps. These start off on each device. Older versions may use their existing online feature settings. Historical information is also optional.
For an AI suggestion, enable the feature, enter a description, and review the proposed event before saving it. Recurrence text is descriptive and does not create repeated events automatically. Online photos require a network connection; automatic matching from event names and locations needs its additional choice. Turning a feature off stops new requests where possible and keeps images already selected.
Sunrise and daylight estimates
Version 1.4 build 3 uses the device's time zone and region locally. The resulting regional estimate can differ from your city, so sunrise, sunset and daylight times are approximate. It makes no IP-location request. Event maps are a separate optional Apple service.
Saving and recovery
If saving an event or image fails, review the visible error and try again after resolving storage access. Selected images and legacy recovery copies are preserved separately from disposable cached photos. Deleting an event does not erase every image, backup or provider record. The privacy policy describes these limits.
