Depth of Field Calculation

Step 1: Circle of Confusion

Formula: c = sensor_diagonal / divisor
Sensor diagonal: √(36² + 24²) = 43.27mm
Divisor (online): 1500
c = 0.029mm

Step 2: Hyperfocal Distance

Formula: H = (f² / (N × c)) + f
f = 50mm, N = f/2.8, c = 0.029mm
f² = 50² = 2500mm²
N × c = 2.8 × 0.029 = 0.081mm
f² / (N × c) = 2500 / 0.081 = 30954.3mm
H = 30954.3 + 50 = 31.0m

Step 3: DOF Near & Far Limits

Near Limit (Dn)
Formula: Dn = (s × (H - f)) / (H + s - 2f)
s = 10m = 10000mm
H = 31.0m = 31004mm
f = 50mm
H - f = 31004 - 50 = 30954mm
H + s - 2f = 31004 + 10000 - 100 = 40904mm
Dn = (10000 × 30954) / 40904 = 7567.5mm = 7.57m
Far Limit (Df)
Formula: Df = (s × (H - f)) / (H - s)
