Help & Support

Nevernote

A distraction-free single-note editor with rich text, local storage on your device, and optional sync through your private iCloud account.

Frequently asked questions

Why only one note?

Nevernote is built around a single note workflow — one place to capture what matters right now, without folders, notebooks, or clutter.

How do I use rich text formatting?

Tap your note to start editing. Use the toolbar for bold, italic, and underline. You can also change font, alignment, line markers (bullets or numbers), and presentation size.

Where is my note stored?

Your note is saved on your device using SwiftData. If iCloud is available and you are signed in, Nevernote can sync through Apple's private CloudKit container (iCloud.com.nathanfennel.NeverNote). Your content stays in your iCloud account — Nevernote does not operate its own servers for note storage.

How does iCloud sync work?

Sync requires an active iCloud account, network access, and iCloud enabled for Nevernote in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud. Changes usually appear on your other devices within a few minutes. Sync may not work in the Simulator or when iCloud is unavailable; the app keeps working locally in that case.

I deleted my note — can I get it back?

Deleting your note shows an undo option in the top bar for a short time. After that, the note is cleared. If you use iCloud sync, restoring from another signed-in device may be possible before changes propagate. Reinstalling without iCloud sync may permanently remove local-only data.

How do I share or export my note?

While editing, use the share button in the top bar to share plain text. If you take a screenshot, Nevernote offers to share the note text or create a clean image of your text (with optional aspect ratio).

What are link image previews?

When your note contains http or https links, Nevernote can show image previews below the note. Long-press a link for more options. Toggle smart links with the link icon in the top bar when editing.

Is there an Apple Watch app?

A Watch companion and widget are available as secondary ways to view your note. The iPhone app is the primary editing experience; Watch uses the same iCloud container when sync is enabled.
