Privacy Policy

If This Then Lunch has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking, and it never sells data. We operate no server for the app: nearby places are found with Apple's MapKit on your device, your location is used only while the app is in use, and your visit history is stored locally on your devices. We never see your location or anything else about you.

• When it's used. The app asks for “While Using the App” location permission and uses your precise location only to search Apple Maps for nearby places and compute walking times. There is no background location tracking.
• Where it goes. Location requests are handled by Apple's Core Location and MapKit frameworks on your device, under Apple's own privacy terms. Your location is never sent to us — we have no server to send it to.
• Your control. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings. The app explains what it needs before asking.

• Visit history. Places you mark as visited, saved places, and app preferences are stored locally on your device (and mirrored to your Apple Watch if you use the watch app).
• Lunch reminders. Reminders are optional local notifications scheduled on your device. Nothing about them is transmitted anywhere.
• Place logos and websites. If you open a place's website or pick a logo image for a place, your device fetches that website directly, like a web browser would. Those requests go to the place's own site, not to us, and any downloaded image is cached locally.

• No accounts and no sign-in.
• No analytics or crash-tracking SDKs, and no third-party SDKs at all.
• No advertising and no tracking across apps or websites.
• No selling or sharing of data with data brokers — we have nothing to sell.
• No access to contacts, photos, microphone, or health data.

The app is rated 4+ and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

• Location access is controlled in iOS Settings and can be revoked at any time; the app keeps working with reduced functionality.
• Notifications are optional and can be turned off in the app's settings or in iOS Settings.
• Clearing history is built in — you can clear visit marks from the app, and deleting the app removes all locally stored data.

If we change this policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Material changes will be called out in the App Store release notes.
