A reading list that is actually a newspaper

Saving an article saves its readable text, not a link that will rot. Then it lays the saved articles out as a paper, with sections, and can shorten the long ones on device while keeping the original.

01Add the page you are on to Newspaper.⇧⌘N
02Shift-click a link you have not opened yet.⇧ClickIt goes straight to Newspaper without ever becoming a tab.
03Open the Newspaper window: Edit menu, Open Newspaper.A fresh Newspaper is not empty: five curated articles are seeded in on first open, and it quietly adds one more on any day you browse without saving your own, no AI credits spent. Saved articles are grouped into sections. The publisher's own section wins when the page provides one, and you can move any article afterward.
04Switch between all four layouts.Settings, Newspaper shows a preview tile for each one, plus an exact font picker with a live sample and a searchable library of everything you have saved. Ink and Broadsheet stay image-free. Magazine and Shelf honor the photo limit you set, and any article can reveal the rest on demand.
05In Settings, Newspaper, turn on shortening and set a limit by words or minutes.Apple Intelligence shortens on device, preserving the article's voice. The full original is always kept, and the article view has a switch to go back to it.
06Turn off wifi and open a saved article.The readable text is already local. With sync on, saved articles and reading state travel through your private iCloud database.
07Try to add an incognito page to Newspaper.You cannot. That is deliberate.

Worth filming

Save five articles across a session, then open the Broadsheet layout. The jump from browser tabs to something that looks like a paper is the whole pitch.
