Your note, your storage
Notes use app storage and your private Apple CloudKit database when available. Earlier local files remain separate. If the primary store cannot open, the app offers an explicit recovery choice and preserves a migration backup.
Device tools
Supported Apple Translation can add a translation above your text. It may need system language-model downloads. Apple Watch supports reading a note and appending typed or dictated text.
Images you choose
You can enable an image preview from a link in your own note. Before enabling a new preview, the app says to use only images you own or have permission to use and that you are responsible for how you use them. Loading it contacts that website and may happen again when the note opens. There is no fixed image-search provider or developer image proxy. The app does not license arbitrary web images.
