Notes and private storage
NeverNote keeps note text, rich-text formatting, photos and note settings in app storage. The primary note store is configured to use your private Apple CloudKit database when iCloud is available. Apple handles that storage through your Apple Account. NeverNote has no separate developer account, advertising SDK or developer-operated note server. Private CloudKit storage is not a public note feed.
Earlier local note files remain separate and can be selected when present. If the primary store cannot open with iCloud, you may choose to open those notes without iCloud; the app identifies that local-only state. It does not silently replace an unreadable file with an empty temporary note. Before opening an existing store with this release, the app preserves a local migration backup. Both historical stores and backup files can remain on the device.
Device processing
Apple Vision recognizes text and QR codes from selected images on the device. Language detection and supported Apple Translation processing also run on the device. Translation may require Apple language-model downloads. The app does not send your note text to a developer AI service for translation. Features and system permissions vary by platform and operating-system version.
Linked images and external sites
You can choose to display an image from a link in your note. The app explains before enabling a new preview that loading it contacts the selected website. That website and any redirected image host receive the requested URL, your IP address and other ordinary connection/request information; the system network session may use cookies and caching. Enabled previews can load again when you reopen the note. Previously saved preview choices are retained. Turn off a preview to stop future loading from that note; this does not delete a website's logs.
Before you choose Load and show image, the notice says to use only images you own or have permission to use and that you are responsible for how you use them. NeverNote does not license arbitrary web images or provide a curated image catalog.
Link detection starts off. The app does not use a fixed image-search provider or a developer image proxy for these previews. Practices and retention vary by the website you choose. Following an external link or sharing/exporting content sends it to the destination or application you choose under that destination's practices.
Deletion and backups
Editing or clearing your note changes the currently open store. It does not erase another historical local store, a migration backup, exports, screenshots, operating-system backups or copies kept by another application. iCloud availability and sync timing also affect copies on other devices. Manage Apple cloud storage and separate backups through their respective controls. No promise of immediate erasure from every device or external service is made.
Developer contact
The reviewed app contains no developer analytics or tracking service. Online image requests and Apple services still involve data leaving the device as described above. If you contact the developer, the information you provide is used to respond to your request.
