Game Toolkit

For iPhone, iPad, Mac & Apple Vision Pro

Everything game night needs, except the game.

Dice, a chess-clock turn timer, and a proper scorecard — in one app that looks like it belongs on the table. Scores sync between your devices through iCloud, your Apple TV can become a live scoreboard, and the whole app re-colors itself to match the game you're playing tonight.

Coming soon to the App StoreHelp & support

Version 2.0 · iOS 17, macOS 14, visionOS or later · Free · No in-app purchases

Nothing to sign up for

No account, no analytics, no tracking, no ads, no third-party SDKs. Players and scores live on your device and sync through your own private iCloud database, which we cannot read. The only other network use is the optional game-theme search, which sends the search text and nothing else — the app is fully functional offline, forever.

What you get

Dice that feel like dice

Roll one die or thirty, with anywhere from 2 to 100 sides, on a green-felt tray with a walnut rail. Tap a die to hold it out of the next roll, Yahtzee-style; shake the phone or press Roll to throw the rest. Seven pip sizes, from Tiny to Comically Large.

A chess-clock turn timer

Everyone gets a bank of time. Tap a player to start their clock and pause everyone else's; an alarm sounds when someone runs out. The timer measures real elapsed time, so it never drifts — even if the app is interrupted.

A scorecard people can read across the table

Round-by-round scores on a ruled paper scorepad with running totals and a crown on the leader. Charts show everyone's cumulative totals or one player's round-by-round swings. Shake to shuffle turn order when nobody can agree who goes first.

A scoreboard on your TV

Mirror to an Apple TV — or plug into any screen — and instead of a copy of your phone, the big screen shows a live scoreboard: totals, last-round points, and the crown, in your theme, updating as you enter rounds. Your phone stays the controller.

Themes made for long evenings

Seven built-in looks, from the warm lamplit default to a dim-room night mode and a high-contrast accessible theme. Every theme ships in light and dark, every combination is contrast-checked against WCAG AA, and player colors are tuned to stay distinguishable for common forms of color blindness.

Themed to tonight's game

Search for the board game you're playing — Wingspan, Catan, Gloomhaven — and the whole app re-colors itself with a palette inspired by that game's look. Themes you use are cached on the device, so they keep working with no network. Purely cosmetic: no feature ever depends on a theme or a connection.

Game themes are independent color palettes named descriptively ("Feathered Meadow", "Harvest Isle"). Game Toolkit is not affiliated with or endorsed by any board-game publisher; game names appear only so search can find the right palette.

One roster, synced everywhere

Players and scores are shared by the timer and the scorecard, and sync between your iPhone, iPad, and Mac through iCloud. Start scoring on the phone, keep going on the iPad.

At home on every screen

Native on iPhone and iPad, a real sandboxed app on the Mac, and on Apple Vision Pro as a Designed-for-iPad app. Shake gestures have button equivalents everywhere a device can't shake. Dynamic Type, VoiceOver labels on every die, and Reduce Motion are respected throughout.
